Deadline:

WHEN : 30th July – 17th August
WHERE : Edwina Corlette Gallery

The starting point for this work is about rocks, minerals and object collecting. I enjoy working with steel as a canvas because it allows me to be very physical with the work – scraping, rusting, depositing paint, erosion, sanding, layering – all feel like geological processes within themselves. I deconstruct and reconstruct faceted forms to rocks, minerals and found objects collected from a field trip, a walk on the beach or a flea market. I have been working steadily all year on this show so it’s a relief to see it finally finished.”
