Arteventura offers professional artists—including visual artists, writers, musicians, performers, architects, duos, or groups—a chance to immerse themselves in 25 hectares of cork and holm oak forest in inland Andalusia. The residency is off-grid and ecologically focused, providing silence, space, autonomy, and essential facilities like self-catering apartments (up to 4 artists at a time) and a 300 m² communal studio with indoor/outdoor working areas. Participants can stay for 4 or 6 weeks during fixed periods in 2026 (e.g., Jan–Dec).
Fees (valid until 30 July 2025):
-
4-week individual: €1,360 + 10% tax
-
4-week duo (per artist): €1,260 + 10% tax
-
6-week individual: €2,040 + 10% tax
-
6-week duo: €1,890 + 10% tax per artist
Artists must pay a €20 application fee upfront and, if accepted, a 50% deposit within 8 days, with the balance due 60 days before arrival. A refundable €120 damage deposit is required.
Arteventura encourages sustainable living, self-led research, and end-of-residency presentation (not mandatory). Artists can leave a work in the onsite collection, and can seek grants using invitation letters.
How to Apply:
Complete the online application form available on the Arteventura website, choose your preferred 2026 residency period, provide a portfolio and motivation letter (explaining ecological fit and practice), and pay the €20 application fee via bank transfer or PayPal.
