Operating as a quasi-archival artist, Brianne Mackinnon’s practice explores information systems and processes of publicity and dissemination that generate within the arts industry. Establishing large online and physical archives of exhibition publications, brochures and related publicity content and images, her practice endeavours to establish a self-generating system of production, where research into and participation within local art scenes stimulates the continual progression of work. The practice acts as a tool to archive and represent this information across sculpture, installation, digital collage and mapping activities.
