Lust For Life gallery invites women of Brisbane to submit their artwork for inclusion in Viva La Femme – A Celebration Of Women.The exhibition will celebrate female-related imagery and concepts for the month of Mothers Day, with space for up to 15 women to showcase their talents.
Viva La Femme will be on display throughout May 2012 at Lust For Life, and will be the newly-established gallery’s first group showing since launching in November 2011. Exhibiting artists to date include Archie Moore, Tricia King, Gerwyn Davies, Brandon Specht and Cameron Eaton.
Successful artists will be notified late March and announced on April 5.‘Viva La Femme’ – A Celebration Of Women will launch on Thursday 3 May from 7pm – 9pm at Lust For Life located at 176 Wickham St, Fortitude Valley.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SUBMISSIONS
To submit, please send email with the subject heading “VLF – ARTIST NAME, Title of Work” to gallery@lustforlifetattoo.com including all information below;
- artist bio (1 page max)
- proposed work submission – jpg (2MB max) or link to image
- 100 word artist statement about work, plus information about materials used, size, price and title of work
Successful work(s) must be exhibition ready to a professional standard, including wiring, framing, unmarked, unwarped, and supplied with title, artist signature and price.
Submissions from outside Brisbane are also welcome however the artist is responsible for shipping logistics including costs.
We welcome various media but cannot accommodate installations, plinth-mounted or audio visual works for this exhibition.
Works must be no bigger than 1m wide and 3m high.
