Deadline:

Deadline:18th December, 2021

Over the coming months, Children’s Health Queensland through the Arts in Health Program, will be commissioning artists to design and create three murals within the Queensland Children’s Hospital and the adolescent extended treatment centre, Jacaranda Place.

Each of these artworks create opportunities for young, emerging First Nations artists to contribute to the creation of warm, welcoming spaces within these environments, providing visual reprieve for patients, families, visitors and staff.

The three artwork opportunities are:

• Jacaranda Place – Entry Zone
• Jacaranda Place – Welcome Courtyard
• Queensland Children’s Hospital – Stanley Street Entrance

These projects will profile the talents of emerging First Nations artists and best suit artists aged 25 and under, based within South-East Queensland, although artists from other regions are welcome to apply if they can be in Brisbane to complete the artwork.

These commissions aim to bolster First Nations artist’s careers within the area of public art and to help establish a creative pool of artists who might be available to work with the health service on future projects.

The EOI submission deadline is 5pm, Friday 18 December 2021.
