The Condensery invites proposals from artists to present work in its unique bomb shelter exhibition space in 2026. Built in the 1940s as a wartime archive repository, the 24m² concrete space (6 x 4 metres) is darkened with minimal wall-hanging options and wood columns, making it well suited to video, sound or digital work, sculpture, and installation.
What to Submit:

Proposal Overview (max 2 pages): description of artworks and concept, presentation/installation ideas, and why you want to exhibit at The Condensery.

Visual Support: up to 10 images or links to artworks.

Curriculum Vitae: short biography outlining your practice.

Artists local to Somerset or with ties to the region are strongly encouraged to apply.
If Selected, The Condensery Will:

Pay an artist fee and cover exhibition display costs.

Provide additional payments for events/workshops.

Assist with development and installation.

Promote the exhibition online and via social media.

Provide professional exhibition photography.

Host an opening event.
