Ipswich City Council is seeking expressions of interests from professional muralists, artists or a consortium of artists, to design and deliver a public art concept for a high-profile space located in Ipswich Central – Bottle Alley.

Bottle Alley is a laneway connecting Ellenborough Street to the Nicholas Street Precinct. The alley has played a significant role in the story of Ipswich, with evidence suggesting that it has been in existence as a public thoroughfare since as early as 1864.

Concepts should focus on telling the story of the Lost Buildings of Ipswich Central and should delight, inspire and educate the Ipswich community.
