City of Moreton Bay is launching its first Outdoor Gallery exhibition program and is seeking proposals from curatorial teams to lead the development and delivery of the inaugural show: ‘Half a Million Imaginations’, opening November 2026.
This new Outdoor Gallery initiative will bring contemporary 2D artworks to everyday public spaces using billboards, lightboxes, digital screens and projection. Up to 22 Australian artists will be commissioned to create site-specific works to be displayed across six high-profile outdoor sites throughout the region.
Theme:
‘Half a Million Imaginations’ celebrates the stories and diversity of the city’s population of over 500,000 people. Curatorial teams will be tasked with selecting and supporting artists whose work reflects inclusion, creativity, and connection.
