Quite Gently is a series of mixed media works featuring colourful rhinestones, as well as small watercolour paintings and unique silver charms.

Carla Adams lives and works in Perth, graduating with first-class honours from Curtin University in 2014. She has exhibited locally and nationally, including in a joint exhibition with Albert Tucker, titled, sorry I was / am too much, at the Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) in 2020. In 2023, she was selected as a finalist for significant emerging art prize, the Ramsay Art Prize, presented at the Art Gallery of South Australia.

Her work is held in important collections including the Cruther’s Collection of Women’s Art, the City of Fremantle Collection, Curtin University Art Collection, AGWA and the Murdoch University Art Collection.
