Copenhagen Photo Festival invites photographers and visual artists from around the world to apply for its 2026 solo exhibition program. Selected artists will have the unique opportunity to present work at the iconic Royal Danish Theatre or its surrounding spaces in the heart of Copenhagen.
The 2026 theme, Forestillinger | Scenarios, invites artists to explore the power of photography to shape, document, imagine, and distort our understanding of the world. The theme asks how image-making forms scenarios—whether rooted in the real or entirely speculative.
This is an open call for bold, imaginative projects that reflect on photography as both image and gaze—capable of dreaming, confronting, or revealing what is otherwise unseen.
