Simon Degroot employs mostly painting in order to focus on aspects of a consumerist ideology exploring ideas of originality, representation and identity.
Copy Repeat is an exhibition of new paintings and prints depicting appropriated floral imagery alongside painted mosaic arrangements. These new works incorporate gestural marks and carefully structured compositions in an exploration of ideas about repetition and multiplication.
