An exhibition of new work.
Courtney Coombs makes art, writes, facilitates and collaborates to try to make sense of the world and their place in it. They respond to the cis-heteronormative, patriarchal structures of both the art world and society using strategies such as subjective voice, personal narrative, vulnerability, humour and metaphor. Coombs is suspicious of the allure of ‘big’ things and as such uses gesture to explore connection and/or disconnection.
