WHEN : 1st and 2nd June, 8:00pm
WHERE : Metro Arts
The space above, below and between is filled with reminders and our breaths carry the weight of the night as we gather to pay homage to all that has come before us: the books, the stories, the dreams and the memories. We lay them all out to bear on this night. You’re invited to come, to share and to dream of what was and could have been. Bear witness to small beautiful poetry in motion. Bear witness to magnificent gestures. This night will not be bound by the laws of gravity or the mundane. This night is one for the poetic, the surreal, the beautiful and the magical as we celebrate the infinitesimal beauty of the smallest things that make it all worthwhile.

CROSS–STITCH provides an opportunity for young and emerging artistic directors and curators to grow their programming and curatorial skills. Over two nights, the early career director/curator presents a curated season of hybrid work, leveraging Metro Arts’ spaces and resources. It is expected that this program will employ unconventional spaces – both indoor and outdoor – fitting for the form of work presented. This program provides a unique and essential opportunity for the next generation of Queensland’s curators, artistic directors, visual and performing artists working across disciplines.
