CULTURHUB, a project by Art House Turku (Finland) and funded by NextGeneration EU, is calling for applications from culture professionals, including organisation representatives, to co-create a major part of the ambitious global scale event EXTRA LIVE in Virtual Art House (and extending to related digital and physical venues), which will be ongoing from 1 June until 31 December 2025.
The digital co-residency and online exhibition event ‘Extra Live’ aims to create a global network dedicated to co-creating the future of culture. One of the hub’s key activities is a digital co-residency, which acts as a think tank to develop new forms of co-production and collaboration, as well as the platform culture itself. It’s also a direct path to work on productions on a metaverse platform, which Extra Live event will open on 1 June 2025.
There are four ways to participate:
- Co-creating production through CULTURHUB online residency before the event (between 1 January and 15 May 2025, funded projects)
- Public residency during the event in CULTURHUB virtual residency (June to December 2025, NO funding)
- Presenting new or already existing digital productions or art works, including digitalised physical works (funded, based on the artwork)
- Participating: Curatorial, theoretical, conceptual or artistic input, technical partnerships etc. for those interested in working or volunteering individually (funded, based on the level of participation)
Production support and part-funding is available for productions with co-create residencies or work dedicated for the event as whole. (Funding is available only for projects completed before the end of June 2025). The funding needs will be customised for different sorts of professionals and productions.
