Art meets science – Open call for artists. Base funding from $5,000-$75,000.
World Science Festival Brisbane invites expressions of interest (EOI) to participate in Curiocity Brisbane 2024, an annual temporary public art event held in Brisbane.
Artists can submit ideas for artworks that celebrate the intersection of science and art.
Curiocity Brisbane is seeking a diverse array of artworks (approximately 15 in total) varying in scale, budget, content and type of public engagement to curate a journey from Queensland Museum through to South Bank Parklands, Brisbane.
All media forms are accepted including augmented or virtual reality, sound or kinetic artforms, video, installation, sculpture, performance or 2D media.
Artworks will be open 8am to 8pm daily in public spaces during Curiocity Brisbane from 20 – 31 March 2024. Base funding from $5,000-$75,000 will be available for selected artworks.
Artists can express interest with either a new commissioned site specific artwork or an existing artwork that has not been exhibited in Queensland before.
