Following an overwhelming response to the first sold-out event, artisan is hosting a second evening workshop with Brisbane-based creative Kimi Schieren — known for her playful, colourful, and character-filled designs.

In this hands-on session, participants will create their own custom bag charm and earrings, drawing from a vibrant array of handmade components. Guided by Kimi, you’ll learn about her creative process and discover how she sources sustainable and vintage materials to craft her distinctive leather accessories.

This relaxed evening of making coincides with the King St Markets and includes drinks and nibbles to keep the creativity flowing. Whether you’re joining solo or bringing a friend, it’s the perfect opportunity to meet other makers and take home something unique.

Kimi Schieren’s work celebrates joy and individuality. Her designs feature whimsical motifs — from crocs in cowboy boots to tattoo-inspired patterns — and each piece is handmade in her Brisbane studio using ethically sourced leather and hardware. What began as a quest to create a fun handbag has evolved into a beloved creative practice with a devoted following.
