Metro Arts

Utilising handmade dyes and pigments from natural materials, Lawrie’s experimental and naïve works are a dialogue between permanence and impermanence, creating a quiet personal engagement with mortality.

Subtleties of flowers and natural imagery, such as scent and symbolism, are harnessed to express the vulnerability of the body to time; represent comforting or familiar greater forces; or speak of inevitable cyclical loss.

OPENING – 21 February 2018, 6pm
