Eastablised in 2009, the Deakin University Contemporary Small Sculpture Award is organised by the Art Collection and Galleries Unit at Deakin University, Victoria. The award celebrates contemporary sculptures from artists around Australia, culminating in an exhibition of finalists’ work held in August to October each year at the Deakin University Art Gallery.
With a prize pool of consisting of $21,000 this is an opportunity not to be missed. One outstanding will be awarded $15,000 and become part of the Deakin University Art Collection. There will also be a non-acquisitive Highly Commended award of $3,000 and lastly a non-acquisitive People’s Choice Award of $3,000 will be announced at the close of the exhibition.
