Deadline:

WHEN : 12th September, 6:00pm
WHERE : Institute of Modern Art

Discipline, the new contemporary art journal, has an agenda. It fosters writing on contemporary art that does not fall back on the ‘crutch of pluralityʼ as a means for theorising art in the wake of postmodernism and globalisation. With writers from Melbourne, from Australia, and from all over the world, the Melbourne-based journal is committed to being, at once, local and international. Join us for the launch of issue three, which features Rex Butler on John Nixon, Quentin Sprague on Nyapanyapa Yunupingu, Joel Stern and Andrew McLellan interviewing Mattin, artist pages by Brook Andrew, Harriet Kate Morgan, and The Mulka Project, and more. Meet the editor, Helen Hughes. You can even buy a copy. A joint project with Discipline.
