WHEN : 17th October – 9th November
WHERE : Ryan Renshaw Windowbox
For Dispatch 09, Melbourne’s Chapter House Lane is sending Andrzej Nowicki’s Spooks go striding work up to Current Projects @ Ryan Renshaw Windowbox.
Andrzej Nowicki has exhibited in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Brooklyn and Melbourne. Via Poland, South Africa and New York, the now Melbourne-based artist is best known for his mixed media collage which incorporates pastels, graphite, ink and oils. Nowicki’s compositions are highly imaginative, his narratives often combining lonesome figures set in open space against surreal landscapes. The figures appear removed from familiar surroundings, released into hyper real environments.
Nowicki has had two solo exhibitions at Chapter House Lane, ‘Feldgrau’ 2012 and ‘Bifrost’ 2013. In mid October, Nowicki shows a series of new work at Tristian Koenig, Melbourne.
