Elana Mullaly shares her recent ‘Drought series’ with her bold solo exhibition ‘SEDIMENTS EXACTLY’.
This series has been inspired by the evaporative process that’s visible in bodies of water, and both the stagnant and evolving scenes that unfold during this natural phenomenon. Debris rises and becomes fluid, dissolving into the natural paths water seeks across the landscape.
Mullaly is a Brisbane Artist who is well versed in the interplay between mediums – traversing ink, coloured pencil, watercolour, aerosol and oil and acrylic painting. Her painted abstractions unveil a delicate balancing act between deliberate intent and the chaos and unpredictability of the flows in nature.
Opening event on Friday Nov 9, 6pm – 9pm.
