Deadline:

30 August
House Conspiracy
Join us for the showcase exhibition of our current International Artist in Residence, Florence Rosalie (Montreal/Tiohtià:ke, Canada).
In “Everywhere, there is bread and oil. We can salt the water.”, Florence’s poetry-led practice steps into Friendship as a liminal space, sacred in nature, where community is built. Between the words and the cyanotype process she explores here as a collage, a mythology of community emerges. The centrepiece, a book-object, collects the physical traces (pictures, messages, stories) overlapping the intimate and individual: trauma, desires, memories… Everything blooms, breaks clean and heals when welcomed by true companionship, and so friendship becomes one of the basic units of collective resilience.
Join us in the upstairs studio/gallery spaces from 6pm.

Plus an open mic event running from 7.00-7.45pm
We acknowledge that this event will take place on the stolen lands of the Jagera and Turrbal people. Their sovereignty was never ceded. It always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
