FORM is a community-focused exhibition curated by Studio Maverik that brings together local artists exploring the human figure across a range of visual media. The exhibition invites artists of all experience levels — from first-time exhibitors to established practitioners — to present works responding to this enduring theme in art history.
The concept of “form” is approached broadly, encouraging interpretations of the human figure as a site for exploring ideas of humanity, beauty, romance, vulnerability, discomfort, love and desire. Through diverse artistic approaches, the exhibition highlights the continued relevance of the human body as a subject of artistic inquiry and expression.
The exhibition aims to create a platform for connection within Brisbane’s creative community, offering an opportunity for artists to exhibit recent work, meet peers and engage with audiences through a shared exploration of the figure.
