Deadline:

Institute of Modern Art

Join us in celebrating the launch of Homejob and Kaomoji Ceramics’ new collections.

Kaomoji will be unveiling their latest ceramic collaboration with Homejob, alongside a showcase of Homejob’s latest accessories and homewares. There will be free sparkling wine flowing, plenty of dancing, and DJs, Buff Girls, on the deck!

About Kaomoji

Wendy Ma is a Brisbane-based ceramic artist and designer, who lovingly creates her wares at her studio in Camp Hill.

The name ‘Kaomoji’ is borrowed from the Japanese art of using simple symbols and punctuation to convey emotion. The artistic process behind her works are centred around the joy and warmth homemade ceramics can bring to a kitchen, bedroom or bathroom. Ma hopes her one-off pieces can make you feel as happy as a love letter from your teenage crush!

About Homejob

Homejob is run by a Brisbane-based creative duo, Wendy Ma, and visual artist, Emika Kazama. The collective specialises in limited runs of artisan objects, accessories and garments.

Homejob produces all items by hand to offer ethically and locally made pieces and all proceeds of sales go towards new projects. The collaborative duo are always looking for ways to connect with other local creatives and they aim to contribute towards conscious and sustainable consumption in the fashion industry.
