The Gallipoli Art Prize 2026 is now open for entries. Established in 2006 by The Gallipoli Memorial Club, this acquisitive award invites artists to respond to the legacy of the Gallipoli Campaign and the Club’s Creed.
The $20,000 prize is awarded to the artist who best depicts the spirit of the Gallipoli Campaign — expressed through values of loyalty, respect, love of country, courage and comradeship. While grounded in historical reflection, the prize is not limited to literal depictions of war. Many works offer symbolic, landscape-based or contemporary interpretations that echo the emotional and human dimensions of conflict.
The winning artwork is acquired into the Gallipoli Memorial Club Museum Fund Collection.
Eligibility: Artists must have been born in Australia, New Zealand or Turkey, or hold Australian, New Zealand or Turkish citizenship. One original painting (oil, acrylic, watercolour or mixed media) may be submitted at the artist’s expense.
