Port Augusta City Council offers one artist each year with a unique experience to live and work in an environment of extraordinary natural beauty and historic significance that has long been a source of inspiration for many significant artists.
For three weeks in late October/early November, one lucky artist will spend time at Grindell’s Hut, in the heart of the Vulkathunha-Gammon Ranges. Three weeks to focus only on your art and to be inspired by the wonderful surrounds.
Residency benefits include:
- Three weeks at Grindell’s Hut free of charge 20 October – 10 November (dates are not negotiable)
- Two nights accommodation in Port Augusta
- Living allowance of $250 per week
- A free exhibition at the Port Augusta Cultural Centre – Yarta Purtli in 2014
