Join Outer Space for an intimate conversation between two of Australia’s most significant First Nations artists, Vernon Ah Kee and Uncle Noel Blair. This public dialogue explores their artistic practices, identity, and cultural storytelling, centred around Uncle Noel’s recent Facade Projection work Guess Who’s Coming to the Corroboree: Late Night Sketches, developed in collaboration with Libby Harward and projected nightly on the Judith Wright Arts Centre (12 July – 16 August 2025).
Moderated and followed by a Q&A, this free event offers a rare chance to hear firsthand from two leading creative voices on the intersections of politics, history, and art within the Aboriginal experience of contemporary Australia.
Uncle Noel Blair (Jinibara) is known for his sharp, humorous, and politically engaged artworks rooted in lived experience and cultural knowledge. Vernon Ah Kee’s multidisciplinary practice critiques the representation of Aboriginal people in Australian history and culture, repositioning Indigenous identity in the present moment.
The event is free with RSVP. All are welcome.
