Expressions of interest are being sought from emerging artists who have recently arrived in Australia as refugees or people seeking asylum to participate in HOME 2022, alongside other emerging and established artists. HOME aims to recognise and nurture the talents of artists who are establishing a new life in Australia and provide opportunities to develop professional pathways in the creative arts sector in Australia.
Two artists will be chosen to make new works for the exhibition, receiving an artist fee of $2,000 and professional development opportunities. The theme for HOME 2022 is language, text and gesture. Applications close at midnight on Monday 30 August 2021.
