Artists who want to be successful in business have the opportunity to participate in a series of business development workshops over the next few months to be run by Flying Arts and Artworkers Alliance, two of the Queensland’s iconic arts development organisations.
The professional development workshops are part of the Flying Arts Artist in Business Series which have been successful around the State and now with the support of Artworkers are available to artists in Brisbane.
Director of Artworkers Kevin Wilson said that the business workshops will be beneficial for emerging and practicing artists in Brisbane, providing an opportunity to gain arts business skills and develop pathways towards a sustainable career.
“The professional development workshops, run by experienced industry professionals, will give artists a greater understanding of business skills and principles and how these can be applied to their own practice to help forge sustainable and successful career” he said.
