‘What is Performance Art? Australian Perspectives’ is a new publication that brings together texts from leading theorists and practitioners in the field, creating an extensive critical archive documenting Australian performance art’s first fifty years.

Join a conversation with publication contributor Laini Burton and featured artist Simone Hine at the IMA. Burton and Hine will discuss Australian performance art’s rich history from the 1970s through to performance art practices today, drawing on some of the histories, theories, interpretations, and testimonials presented in the publication.

Don’t miss your chance to pick up the book for a special price of $35 (RRP $45) and join the discussion.

‘What is Performance Art? Australian Perspectives’ is edited by Adam Geczy and Mimi Kelly and published by Power Publications (The Power Institute). Find out more on the IMA website here
