In Residence ARI

In Residence is excited to announce our third exhibition, moving on from the Shift series to the Home series.

Home 1 will investigate the relationship that exists between the physical structure of the house and the concept of the home. This exhibition will showcase the work of eight emerging photographers connected by a common domestic space, the Carl Street house. We wish to demonstrate that despite the loss of the Carl Street house, due to be removed from its current location in early August, the home remains, and is made manifest through the relationships that have been cultivated between the exhibiting artists. Work exhibited will be drawn from the photographers’ current practice while reflecting on the ways that the Carl Street house has informed their personal lives, relationships and work.

Photographers: Eli Lillis, Marc Pricop, Evey Skinner, Lachlan McKenzie Dale, Matt Dennien, Danny Smith, Myles Bennell and Nicole Paulsen.

Home 1 will be held on Sunday the 21st of August from 3-7pm in East Brisbane with the address released closer to the date.
