In Residence ARI is proud to announce our first exhibition ‘Shift 1’
‘Shift 1’ is part one of a two part exhibition series, and will feature artworks that address the themes of physical and psychological displacement. The exhibition will highlight various forms of physical displacement encountered by individuals, for reasons such as relocating to a new country, or being classified as ‘other’ on the basis of ethnicity.
Four emerging artists from varied cultural and creative backgrounds have responded to the theme of physical displacement through sculpture, video, multimedia work and textiles.
Featured Artists:
Ahmed Idam Adam: Maldivian born multi-disciplinary designer, Adam will reflect on his cultural heritage and his most recent trip to the Maldives using a mix of photography, digital media and sculpture.
