This exhibition showcases new works on paper, including artist books, and individual and collaborative assemblages and collages.
NightLadder’s work is underpinned by the belief in the power of the image to tell complex stories, and the balance between the materiality of the medium and the immateriality of the idea it supports.
The collective rejects traditional notions of authorship and solitary genius. It rather reinforces an egalitarian, co-operative way of working, and is critical of the capitalist, well-oiled, large-scale, creative industry machine that fosters a system ruled by a few art elites.
Featured artists include John Doyle, Angela Gardner, Maren Götzmann, Lisa Pullen and Gwenn Tasker.
