With a number of funding round deadlines approaching, Metro Arts is hosting an information session for Brisbane’s independent artists.
Join Linda Dreghorn, Grant Support Officer, Arts Policy and Programs (Arts Queensland); Lyn Wallis, Director, Theatre (Australia Council) and David Ryding, Program Manager, Early Career Artists (Australia Council), Michael Peterson, Cultural Investment and Development (Brisbane City Council) to discuss what opportunities are available.
Jo Thomas, Independent Artist and Metro Arts’ Managing Producer will also join the panel to share her experience on writing successful grant applications. The panel will answer the questions you have when putting together your case for funding.
Facilitated by Queensland’s Theatre Diversity Associate Chris Kohn, this will be a great opportunity to demystify the funding process, mingle with other artists and clarify your approach before knuckling down and getting your applications ready.
There will be a special focus on opportunities for emerging artists and artists from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds.
The forum is expected to run for approximately 70 minutes, after which the Metro Arts Bar will be open for the conversations to continue in the foyer.
