WHEN : 23rd – 24th April
WHERE : Bleeding Heart Gallery
In an event not be missed by design, architecture and horticultural enthusiasts, Brisbane’s Bleeding Heart Gallery will be showcasing Queensland’s finest in Landscape Architecture in a free public exhibition next week.
In a celebration of the contribution that Landscape Architects make to our communities, the Gallery will display outstanding work as part of the 2013 AILA Queensland State Awards held by the peak industry body, the Australian Institute for Landscape Architects (AILA). The AILA Queensland Executive will host a special preview launch evening on 22 April to unveil the 2013 award submissions to industry members and the general public.
The Gallery will continue to remain open to the general public, with free admission, from 23-24 April before the exhibition continues to make it’s way around Queensland for further public viewings. The AILA Queensland State President, Andrea Ryan, is encouraging locals to visit the Gallery to discover the creative and diverse profession of Landscape Architecture, while they have the chance. “The exhibition offers a rare insight into the inner workings of contemporary Australian Landscape Architecture,” Ms. Ryan said. “There is so much to learn about the contributions made to the conservation and sustainability of our environment and communities through landscape design.” Hailed as the premier awards for landscape architects, the biennial AILA Queensland State Awards recognise outstanding work in the field.
