Deadline:

STABLE Artspace

A SYSTEM OF OBJECTS aims to create new relationships between everyday objects to explore how they can operate outside of their intended purpose, broadening our understanding of how they exist. Using kinetic sculpture and video installation, various systems are set up to generate playful interactions between reality and illusion, making ordinary objects appear to do extraordinary things.

JANNI COX’s practice, originally informed by the improvisational and spatially investigative tactics of skateboarding, is often site-responsive and performative. He employs an archive of found objects and industrial materials to create video installations and sculptural assemblages that explore unique ways of reconsidering the body’s relationship with space and objects.
