Jason Phu’s brand-new installation is a reimagining of his 2022 artwork everyone is dead, except for me. everything is futile, and i am tired. i wait in my little house, for the winter to take me.

Originally commissioned by the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA), Melbourne as part of the Macfarlane Commissions, this extraordinary example of Phu’s practice forms the centrepiece of this premiere exhibition.

Jason Phu is a leading contemporary voice in Australian art whose work spans painting and drawing, printmaking, photography, and installation. This expansive artwork explores ideas of identity, family and culture, transforming HOTA Gallery into an immersive vision straight from the artist’s imagination.
