Polish up your drawing skills with help from Brisbane-based artist Christopher Bassi in this special life drawing class in the IMA Belltower gallery.
Bassi will guide you through different approaches to sketching the human figure, capturing poses created by dancer Gara Doola from the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA).
The lesson will draw on Robert Andrew’s exhibition ‘Presence’, with Doola responding to the work through his movement and poses, bringing another dynamic element to Andrew’s kinetic installation.
Paper, 2b pencils, and charcoal will be provided. You are welcome to bring along any additional materials.
