11:30am – Artist and educator Sylvia Nakachi gives an artist talk about her work in the First Nations display
12 noon – Musical interlude with Dave Loveland whose portrait features in Snapshot!
1 pm – Panel discussion facilitated by photographer Louis Lim, this is a discussion with emerging artists Nadya Wilson, Isaiah Nakachi and Taijha Utner with participants of Snapshot! capturing street styles of Logan City.
1:30 pm – Artist Chrys Zantis gives an artist talk about her work ORA.
2 pm – Artist Samuel Tupou discusses his wall painting Under the canopy
2:30 pm – Artist talk from Sana Balai
3 pm – Artist talk from Nicola Hooper
3:30 pm – Sally Terare gives a tour and artist talk of her public art design Wander free at the Plaza.
4 pm – Lincoln Austin gives a tour and artist talk of his public art design Milky Way at the Outdoor stage.
What is the Living Museum? It is a place to see, hear and experience the stories of the people who have made the City of Logan what it is today. First Nations space
A co-curated space by and for Logan’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Visitors can learn about First Nations language and culture, and hear digital stories from Logan’s Elders.
Nourish
The entry welcoming space showcases stories from Logan’s kitchens, markets and gardens. Hear from people of Logan how growing and making food nourishes their families and their community.
Snapshot! capturing street styles of Logan City
Local photographers, led and mentored by Louis Lim, capture the street fashion styles of Logan’s residents. Paying tribute to the tradition of street photography, this project aims to capture the contemporary personal style of Logan’s diverse residents.
