The 8th annual Marie Ellis OAM Prize for Drawing is now open for submissions.
The Marie Ellis OAM Prize for Drawing aims to encourage excellence in drawing as an important foundation for any arts practice. The Prize was established to help perpetuate the memory of Marie Corella Ellis OAM (1918-2003) – a long-time resident of Fortitude Valley – her love of art and dedication to helping others in her community.
25 Finalists will be chosen by a specially-selected judging panel and their works exhibited at Jugglers Art Space during August 2017.
Major Prize Winner is awarded $4000 (acquisitive)
Honourable Mention is awarded to the value of $500
People’s Choice Award is awarded to the value of $500
A special Director’s Encouragement Award may also be awarded to an outstanding entry by a High School student.
