Deadline:

POP Gallery

I have a stammer, my father had a stammer, my brother has a stammer, my sister had a stammer, but my mother took her to a speech therapist to correct it (this is another story). The Narrated Self consists of short personal stories excised from the surface of photographs.

The excised texts form vignettes of personal experience told through a photograph that intend to disrupt our usual expectations for reading or illustrating narrative.

Opening Event: Friday, 24 August from 6pm – 8pm
Where: POP Gallery, 381 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley, QLD 4006
Gallery opening hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 10am to 4pm
