Who are you without your memory?
This is one of the many questions Sam is asking you in her solo exhibition, as director of Your Pals, ‘Memory Selection’. This is an immersive and interactive exhibition that takes form as an experiment. Sam, as the maker, presents you with objects that represent memories from throughout her life – that are real and precious, and asks the viewer to play along in a conceptual train of thought. As the participant, you enter and act as if you have lost your memory, and through selecting memories of Sam’s you will come out at the end with a new identity presented to you, showing you a particularly version of the maker based on what you chose to remember or forget.
