Drawn from the Moreton Bay Regional Council’s art collection, Under revision presents works from four photographic series by Australian artist Michael Cook. Cook is renowned for his photographs that re-stage history, foregrounding First Nations people’s presence in Australian culture. These works challenge ingrained belief systems and encourage questions about current and past ways of thinking; creating new narratives and revising memories. Under revision features works from Cook’s Stickman, Civilised and Object series. They were generously donated by the artist, through the Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts Program.
Guided tours of the exhibition will occur every Wednesday from 12.30pm – 1.00pm in the gallery.
