Portia Geach Memorial Award 2025

The Portia Geach Memorial Award is Australia’s most prestigious art prize for portraiture by women artists. Valued at $30,000, this non-acquisitive prize is awarded for the best portrait painted from life of a distinguished person. It is open to female Australian artists (including those British-born who are Australian residents). Established in 1961, this award continues to celebrate the talents and creativity of Australian female portrait painters.
