Queer Here returns for its third year as a vibrant celebration of LGBTQIA+ creative voices in Meanjin/Brisbane. Presented by the Queensland College of Art and Design, Griffith University, in proud partnership with Brisbane Pride Inc., this inclusive group exhibition invites artists to express their stories, identities, and visions across all mediums.
There is no set theme for 2025, giving artists the freedom to explore whatever matters most to them—whether personal, political, joyful, or deeply reflective.
Who Can Apply:

LGBTQIA+ artists living in Brisbane/Meanjin

Artists working in any medium (e.g. painting, sculpture, video, photography, performance, installation, and more)

Both emerging and established creatives are welcome
Key Details:

All work must be exhibition-ready (e.g. framed or suitable for install)

A selection committee will review all submissions

A $500 standout artist award will be presented on Opening Night (supported by Brisbane Pride Festival)
