Celebrating its 10th year, Australia’s highest-valued art prize for women is now accepting entries for 2026, with a total prize pool of $58,000. Open to women artists aged 18+ residing in Australia, the Prize welcomes all mediums across three categories and continues its mission to recognise, connect, and promote the outstanding achievements of women artists nationwide.

- Professional Artist Prize – $35,000
- Emerging Artist Prize – $7,500 (The Reed Family Foundation)
- Indigenous Emerging Artist Prize – $7,500 (Guardian & Scarborough Foundation)
- Additional awards: People’s Choice $2,000 + Derivan art pack, and six Highly Commended awards of $1,000 each
- Eligibility
Women artists aged 18+ who have been residents of Australia during the 12 months before the closing date. All mediums accepted.
Timeline
- Entries close: 11 February 2026
- Finalists announced: 1 April 2026
- Opening Night: 15 May 2026 (at Ravenswood School for Girls)

Since 2017, the Prize has attracted over 13,100 entries, with 65% from emerging and Indigenous artists—underscoring a strong commitment to inclusion and opportunity.
