Redcliffe Art Gallery is the peninsula’s premier arts destination. Only 40 minutes’ drive from Brisbane’s CBD, a visit to this bayside gallery is a perfect day out.
In its brand-new home, the gallery presents a vibrant and ever-changing exhibition program. Across four exhibition spaces, visitors can experience works by local, emerging and established Australian artists.
The Studio, a dedicated public program space, frequently hosts artist-led workshops or transforms into a vibrant and popular art space for kids and families during school holidays.
Central to the gallery’s annual program is 15 Artists, an invitational prize featuring works by contemporary Australian artists. Established in 1996, the prize has been a significant contributor to the Moreton Bay Regional Council Art Collection.
To dive deeper into the exhibitions, visitors can extend their experience with impromptu or booked tours led by one of the friendly gallery team members.
Browsing the shop’s hand-selected range of bespoke products by local artisans, including ceramics, jewellery, books, is the perfect end to a visit.
After your visit, sit back and enjoy the serenity and sea breezes of the bayside in the relaxing outdoor courtyard or take a stroll down to one of the many local cafes along the foreshore whilst enjoying the glistening view of Mulgumpin, Moreton Island.
