The final in a three-part exhibition, following on from the first two iterations held on 7 June and 31 August, with artists Clark Beaumont, Athena Thebus, Louise Bennett, Courtney Coombs, Hannah Brontë, and Alice Lang.
Beginning with the saturated glossiness masking a distinct generational boredom in the first exhibition, the second exhibition took up the provocation to fill this empty space, dealing in grand gestures and political conviction. From here, the last Rinse & Repeat is engrossed even further, though takes its risks more literally: with slippery, murky, greasy crossovers of sexual obsession, which so quickly parallel an artistic fetish with material. And so it all comes back to the sweaty sheen of the surface.
