CALLOUT: Artist in Residence Opportunities for Sculptors and Object Makers. 4 x 3 month residencies available in 2021 @ Sculptors Qld venue ‘The Shed’.
Located at 480 Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills, the Sculptors QLD ‘Shed’ is a wooden building set in the grounds of the historic Old Museum Building. ‘The Shed’ is surrounded by large fig trees that provide shade and cooling to the studio. The Shed is divided in two, the studio residing in the smaller garage extension with a concrete floor and excellent ventilation. The artist will have intermittent access to the main space around community events, workshops and meetings. The main space is generously framed by 7 metre walls, high ceilings and two massive wooden doors.
* 4 x 3 month residencies available
(FEBRUARY – MAY / MAY – AUGUST / AUGUST – NOVEMBER / NOVEMBER – FEBRUARY)
* Onsite parking available
* An SQ membership ($60) is compulsory for successful applicants for liability insurance.
* As a non-residential studio artists are responsible for their own accomodation.

* A completed ‘Artist Residency Application Form’; indicating preferred residency timeframe and agreement to pay membership fee for liability insurance.
* A brief proposal of what they would like to do during their stay (Max 300 words)
* Summary of what their residency can offer SQ (Max 300words)
* History of professional activity (Max 1 page CV)
* Folio of past and recent work (Max 10 Images)
