Deadline:

Woolloongabba Art Gallery

Everything humans construct must pass. Some simply rust and disintegrate over years. Some are destroyed and quickly replaced. Others are only ever temporary. The subject matter of most of my paintings no longer exist, so it does not matter if they are not a true representation of a particular place at a particular time. All my paintings are constructs where different elements are combined to produce a coherent artwork: abstract qualities are of prime importance.

Structures made of driftwood accumulated on beaches are truly ephemeral, as the next storm surge will take them away.
